On the street, on the tram, at the bakery: someone looks familiar, but you don't know from where. SpotVee makes the invisible lines between people visible. You instantly see that he's Omar's cousin, who works out with Sarah.
After that, starting a chat suddenly feels easy.

Open Google PlayYou use SpotVee at your own risk. We only use your data for what you signed up for: spotting, showing your connections, connecting and chatting. We never sell your data. We don't share it without your permission, except with service providers that are strictly necessary for the app to work, or if a court or the law requires us to.

SpotVee is offered by [COMPANY NAME], located at [ADDRESS], registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce (KvK) under number [KVK NUMBER]. We are the data controller within the meaning of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Privacy questions: privacy@spotvee.com
Account: email address, name or nickname, profile photo (optional), confirmation that you are 18+. Location: only while the app is open and Spot is on. We don't store routes, only completed spots (place at neighborhood level, time to the quarter hour). Network: your connections and who spotted you, so we can show the link between people. Messages you send. Security: login details (encrypted), device and IP address to prevent abuse and break-ins. Reports of abuse made by you or others.
We use your data exclusively for: • spotting and showing the link between you and others (performance of the contract); • connecting, chatting and sending notifications (contract and your consent); • keeping your account and the community safe (legitimate interest and legal obligation). If we ever want to use your data for anything else, we ask for your consent first. Without a yes it doesn't happen.
We never sell your data and never share it with advertisers. Sharing only happens in these three cases: 1. Service providers that are strictly necessary for the app to work (hosting in the EU, email for login codes, push notifications via Apple and Google). They may only use your data for SpotVee and sign a data processing agreement. 2. If you explicitly give permission yourself, each time or via Settings › Your permissions. 3. If a court or the law requires us to, for example an order from the police or the judiciary. We assess every request and let you know if the law allows it.
Others never see your exact location, only a rounded distance. In ghost mode they only see your name and photo after connecting. In your safe zones (e.g. around your home) you're never spotted. Where those zones are is stored only on your own device and never reaches us. Anyone who views your link leaves a notification for you.
Spots: 90 days. Messages: until you delete them. After deleting your account: everything gone within 30 days. We keep abuse reports for at most 6 months, and data subject to a legal retention obligation no longer than that obligation requires.
You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection. You can always withdraw consent via Settings › Your permissions, without affecting earlier use. You can download your data or delete your account directly in the app. If you disagree with us, you can file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
Encryption in transit and at rest, two-step verification, passwords we can't read ourselves, and regular security tests. No system is 100% secure. If a data breach that puts you at risk does happen, we report it to the regulator within 72 hours and let you know as soon as possible.
SpotVee is only for people aged 18 and over. We delete accounts of minors as soon as we find out about them.
If we change this policy, we'll let you know in the app. For important changes we ask for your consent again.
You use SpotVee at your own risk. SpotVee shows links based on what users share themselves. We don't verify who someone really is and don't guarantee that every link is correct. You're responsible for what you share and for arrangements you make. Our liability is limited as far as the law allows.

These terms apply between you and [COMPANY NAME] ("SpotVee", "we") for the use of the SpotVee app and website. By creating an account you agree to them.
You are 18 years or older, use your own identity and have only one account. You keep your login details secret and are responsible for everything that happens through your account.
No stalking, harassment, threats or following people. Spotting is greeting, not tracking. Anyone who uses SpotVee to harass someone is removed immediately and permanently, and where necessary we report it to the police. See also the Community guidelines.
You're responsible for everything you share: your profile, photo, messages and what you say about others. SpotVee isn't responsible for content or behavior of other users. We don't check content in advance, but we filter automatically, review reports within 24 hours and may remove content or block accounts.
SpotVee is provided as is. We do our best, but don't guarantee that: • the app is always available or works without errors; • a link, distance or location shown is correct; • someone is who they say they are. Meeting people you get to know through SpotVee is at your own risk. Meet in a public place and tell someone where you are.
To the extent permitted by law, SpotVee is not liable for: • damage caused by the behavior or content of other users, including meetings outside the app; • indirect or consequential damage, such as lost profits; • damage caused by outages, maintenance or causes beyond our control; • damage caused by someone gaining access to your account through your own actions. If SpotVee is nevertheless liable, this is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before, up to a maximum of € 100. These limitations don't apply in case of intent or deliberate recklessness by SpotVee, and don't affect the rights you have as a consumer under the law, such as under the GDPR.
If someone holds SpotVee liable because of content you shared or because you violated these terms, you compensate the damage SpotVee suffers as a result, as far as the law allows.
You can always delete your account in the app. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms or if that's necessary for the safety of others.
We may change these terms. We announce important changes in the app at least 30 days in advance. If you keep using SpotVee after that, the new version applies. If you don't agree, you can delete your account.
These terms are governed by Dutch law. We submit disputes to the competent court in [CITY]. As a consumer you may also go to the court where you live. Contact: support@spotvee.com
